Chief Tumbarello has served the citizens of Los Angeles County for 16 years. Chief Tumbarello has held the ranks of Fire Fighter, Fire Fighter/Paramedic, Fire Fighter Specialist, Fire Captain and promoted to Battalion Chief on April 1, 2025. Prior to the Los Angeles County Fire Department Chief Tumbarello completed 7 fire seasons with the CALFIRE San Bernardino Unit.<br></p><p>Chief Tumbarello attended Etiwanda High School and took part in Mount San Antonio Community College 35<sup>th</sup> Fire Academy.</p><p>Chief Tumbarello has successfully completed C-374 Helicopter Coordinator (HLCO) training. Chief Tumbarello holds a paramedic certification, and is a state certified S-200, S-215, and L-280 instructor. Chief Tumbarello participates as a qualified relief member of the Los Angeles County Fire Department Helicopter Aerial Supervisor Module.<br></p><p>In April 2026, Chief Tumbarello was voted to be Secretary to serve on the FIRESCOPE Aviation Subcommittee. Being associated with such a prestigious organization is one of Chief Tumbarello's greatest honors while he works proudly alongside a talented group of fire service professionals.<br></p><p>During his time away from work, Chief Tumbarello enjoys spending time with his family. Chief Tumbarello is very proud of his profession but considers his greatest accomplishment in life is to be married to his best friend and raising their children together.<br></p></div> | | Eric Tumbarello | |

Chief Cleary has held the ranks of Firefighter/ Paramedic and Fire Captain prior to being promoted to Battalion Chief in April of 2019.<br></p><p>Chief Cleary attended Simi Valley High School, Oxnard College, and Moorpark College. Chief Cleary was the recipient of Company of the Year in 2011 while assigned to the Aviation Unit and 2014 while assigned to Fire Station 27. Chief Cleary was awarded a Medal of Valor for the Pacific Incident in 2010, The Life Saving Award in 2011, Meritorious Service Award for the Arboles Incident in 2012, and Firefighter of the Year in 2018.</p><p>Chief Cleary was assigned to the Ventura County Wildland Aviation Division for 8 years. From 2011-2014 was a Paramedic Crew Chief and from 2016-2019 was a Crew Superintendent. Chief Cleary is also the lead for the Ventura County Fire Department's Peer Support Group. Chief Cleary is currently working on his Division Group Supervisor task book.</p><p>In April of 2019 Chief Cleary was selected by Fire Chief Mark Lorenzen to replace retiring Chief Burris to serve on the FIRESCOPE Aviation Operations Specialist Group. Being associated with such a prestigious organization is one of Chief Cleary's greatest honors where he works proudly alongside a talented group of fire service professionals. <strong> </strong></p><p>During his time away, Chief Cleary enjoys spending time with his family, being a dad to young children keeps him on his feet.
